Most important applications
Corrosion-resistant steel of similar type and cast steel, e.g. 1.4762 (X 10 CrAl 24)- 1.4085 (G-X 70 Cr 29): steel that is difficult to weld, e.g. construction steel of higher strength, manganese hard steel and joints with high-alloy steel; repairs and wear-resistant coatings.

Special notes
The favourable coefficient of thermal expansion due to the high content of delta ferrite in the weld metal reduces the residual stresses in black-white joints and increases the safety against hot cracks. In the work-hardened condition, the weld metal is particularly resistant to wear. MMA can be welded on top, very easy ignition and re-ignition; high current-carrying capacity; high deposition rate, particularly suitable for large-area, wear-resistant build-up welds; self-dissolving slag, fine-flake smooth seam appearance.

Re-drying
Generally not necessary. However, the cladding tolerates re-drying up to +350°C.
