BR 10 Special MMA / E 42 2 B 12 H10 (AWS.E 7016)
The MT-BR 10 Spezial is a basic-coated thick-coated rod electrode designed for demanding welding work in constrained positions. Classified according to EN ISO 2560-A: E 42 2 B 12 H 10 and AWS/ASME SFA-5.1: E 7016, it delivers clean, safe and reproducible results in steel construction, repairs and assembly. The hydrogen-controlled weld metal is resistant to ageing and suitable for operating temperatures from -20 °C to +350 °C.
With available diameters ranging from Ø 2.5 to 5.0 mm, the MMA can be flexibly adapted to different material thicknesses and applications. The welding positions according to DIN EN ISO 6947 include PA, PB, PC, PD and PF, making the MT-BR 10 Special particularly suitable for difficult seams and root passes. For root welding, operation on the negative pole is recommended, as the arc becomes more focused and the material transfer more fine-dropped.
The typical mechanical properties of the weld metal are Rp0.2: 420 MPa, Rm: 500–640 MPa and A5: > 20%. In addition , TÜV, DB and CE approvals ensure a strong quality profile for professional use. The 2-hour re-drying at 300 °C is also practical for use when maximum process reliability is required.
