Conformity package makes it easier for steel welders to audit to EN 1090
From July 2014, companies that manufacture steel structures must be certified. This is preceded by an elaborate internal process with a subsequent audit by an external certification body. However, both standards - the national standard or EN 1090 - apply until that time. This means that the client can already demand compliance with EN 1090 today.
The good news: For all owners of a TransSteel welding system from Fronius, the time-consuming application and creation of welding procedure specifications (WPS) is no longer necessary.
These systems are also available from us for rent. We are happy to offer you an attractive long-term rental (min. 365 days) on request.

The EN 1090 group of standards replaces the previously valid design standards for steel structures in Europe. Accordingly, companies may then only sell products with a valid CE mark. Manufacturers of metal structures are obliged to be certified in order to fulfil the requirements for obtaining the certification number for the CE mark with the audit. The conformity audit requires five steps:
1. the information research on the standard and the corresponding design classes,
2. training of the company's own staff in accordance with the standard,
3. the introduction of a quality assurance system
4. the creation of welding procedure specifications (WPS),
5. the audit of a certification body.
Fronius has taken over the time-consuming and costly step no. 4, the creation of the welding procedure specification (WPS), for its TransSteel welding system family. This saves the metalworker the entire work process.
A welding procedure specification (WPS) must provide information about the welding process, the welding rod diameter, the filler metal, the type of seam and the material thicknesses to be welded. TransSteel's welding procedure specifications (WPS) apply to steel constructions of execution class (EXC) 1 and 2. The specific MAG (metal active gas) procedure is based on the "Steel" characteristic and applies to the filler and auxiliary materials commonly used in steel construction, which are executed in the WPS.
The user can simply order the conformity package with a welding system of the TransSteel series or retrofit it later if required. A badge visible on the welding system then signals compliance with EN 1090-2 for steel constructions of execution class (EXC) 1 and 2.

Hypertherm Powermax 30XP - Special offer
Small powerhouse - cutting up to 16mm and just 9.5kg on the scales! The new companion for assembly and workshop comes from Hypertherm and is called "Powermax30 XP". The successor of the Hypertherm Powermax 30 cuts 10mm thick steel without any problems, it manages half a metre in one minute. For precise cutting of thin metal, the Duramax LT torch can be equipped with the FineCut component. Compared to its predecessor, it has a 50% increase in cutting power and thus ensures higher cutting speeds. Conformity package makes it easier for steel welders to audit to EN 1090 From July 2014, companies that manufacture steel structures must be certified. This is preceded by an elaborate internal process with a subsequent audit by an external certification body. However, both standards - the national standard or EN 1090 - apply until that time. This means that the client can already demand compliance with EN 1090 today. The good news: For all owners of a TransSteel welding system from Fronius, the time-consuming application and creation of welding procedure specifications (WPS) is no longer necessary. These systems are also available from us for rent. We are happy to offer you an attractive long-term rental (min. 365 days) on request.
