Description

Rutile coated Rod electrodes for welding of various steels and stainless claddings. Weld metal made of austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel with particularly low carbon content for operating temperatures up to +350°C.

DIN 8556: E 22 14 3 LR 23, material-no.: acc. to 1.4459, AWS/ASME SFA-5.4: E 309 Mo L-16, B. S. 2926: 23.12.2 R; NF A 81 -343: EZ 23 12.2 R 23; EN 1600: E 23 12 2 LR 32.

Most important areas of application
Various types of steel (black/white joints); claddings and buffer layers.

Microstructure
Austenite with increased content of delta ferrite.

Special notes
Self-dissolving slag; smooth, finely scaled seams. Claddings and buffer layers are already corrosion resistant in the first layer. No danger of martensite formation even at higher degrees of melting (root scnwelding). Highest operating temperature for black/white compounds is +300°C. For prolonged annealing above +300°C or for operating temperatures above +300°C, nickel-based filler metals must be used.

Re-drying
Generally not required. However, the sheath can withstand re-drying up to +350°C.
