Description

Basic graphite coated stick electrode with pure nickel core rod for non-ferrous cast iron welding.

Most important applications
Cast iron with lamellar graphite according to DIN 1691, e.g. GG - 10 to GG - 35; white and black malleable cast iron according to DIN 1692

Special notes
Universally applicable stick electrode for repair welding on castings. Weld short beads (30 - 50 mm), hammer off weld beads well immediately to relieve stresses. By choosing the correct polarity when welding with direct current, certain properties can be achieved: Minus pole - pulsating arc, deep penetration and good flank formation, flat seams Positive pole - higher welding speed, lower penetration, higher seams AC - lowest heat input, favourable for filler layer welds
