Description

Rutile-based electrode for welding of nickel alloys, cold-tough nickel steels and various types of joints. Weld metal of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy for operating temperatures up to +1000°C. Cold-tough up to -196°C.

Most important applications
Nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, e.g. NiCr 22 Mo 9 Nb (2.4856), NiCr 22 Mo 6 Cu (2.4618), NiCr 22 Mo 7 Gu (2.4619) and their joints with unalloyed, low-alloyed and high-alloyed steel/cast steel. Claddings. cold-tough Nlckel steels, e.g. X 8 Ni 9 (1.5662); black/white compounds for operating temperatures above +30O°C

Special notes
Cleanliness of the workpiece in the weld area is a prerequisite for a crack-free joint. Bottom seam protection is recommended for thin sheets and root welds. Smooth seams and above all good slag removal due to slightly oscillating electrode guidance.

Re-drying
Generally not necessary. However, the coating can withstand re-drying up to +250°C.
